Idea Behind the Game

The idea for this game originated from a YouTube course by Apna College, which taught how to create a basic Rock-Paper-Scissors game using JavaScript. Initially, the goal was to follow the tutorial and create a functional game. However, as the project progressed, I realized the potential to take it further and create a more interactive and engaging experience. Since I had some knowledge of HTML and CSS, I decided to combine these skills with JavaScript to enhance the game's functionality and visual appeal.

The world is now full of automation and opportunities to innovate. With the help of ChatGPT, I was able to brainstorm new ideas, refine features, and debug issues. While ChatGPT provided technical assistance, the ideas and features implemented in the game were completely original and guided by my experience as a gamer.

I dedicated more than 30 days to this project, carefully debugging and refining it. My aim was to create a polished, enjoyable, and bug-free game that stands out as a well-rounded project, even for a beginner in web development.

Hurdles I Faced During My Debugging Journey

Avoiding Spam Clicking: Ensured players couldn't spam-click buttons or disrupt the game’s logic.
UI Design: Added hover effects with GIF animations (e.g., scissors cutting, paper folding) to make it engaging for kids.
Adding Multiplayer: Implemented multiplayer functionality over three days while keeping the code neat and functional.
Customizable User Names: Created a homepage section where players could add names displayed during the game.
Best-of Mode: Allowed players to select rounds (e.g., best-of-three) and added a Winner Popup for clarity and excitement.
Debugging the Winner Popup: Resolved a <p> tag issue after five days of debugging related to mismatched selectors.
Sound Effects: Added UI sounds and background music for immersion.
Timer Implementation: Introduced a 14-second timer with coordinated functions.
Cancel Button: Added a Cancel Button to prevent frustration during long series and seamlessly manage game logic.
Mobile and Desktop Compatibility: Introduced touch controls and a multiplayer sub-selector for seamless mobile experience.

These themes will transform the game’s styling, including colors, backgrounds, and visual effects, while keeping the layout and element positions intact. Whether you prefer a dark mode, a retro look, or a vibrant neon style, the theme selector will bring a personalized touch to your gaming experience.
Avatar Selection: Add a unique personality to your gameplay with an avatar selection feature! Players and the CPU will have panel boxes where profile avatars can be displayed alongside their names and scores. Choose from a variety of avatars to represent yourself during matches, making the game more fun and interactive.
Multiplayer Online Mode: Connect with friends or challenge players globally in real-time matches. This feature will add an entirely new dimension of competition and excitement.
Leaderboard and Account Saving: Save your progress and track your game statistics, including matches won and gameplay history. A comprehensive leaderboard will highlight the best players both regionally and globally, motivating you to aim for the top.
